I’ve gone over the brain-dumping process before (you can find that post here), and now it’s time to start reaping the benefits on the regular.
Here’s a quick “brain dump” breakdown:
Step 1️⃣ : Set a timer for 3-5 minutes.
Step 2️⃣: On a piece of paper or in a doc, write down every thought that pops into your head until the timer runs out (If you’re an Eating Redefined member, I’ve attached this week’s writing guide to the bottom of the post.)
Step 3️⃣: Go back and take a quick look at what you wrote. Is all that commentary serving you, or are some thoughts duds? How does each thought on the given topic make you feel, and how might your day play out if that thought alone was guiding all your decisions?
You’ll be done before you know it, and have a pretty good idea of where you stand on any given topic. Since your brain is spending all day turning your thoughts into reality, you’ll also know where your current thoughts are leading you.
